OCTOBER THANK YOU LETTER

12 October 2013

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

September was our missions-emphasis month at the mother church in Goiânia, and the Lord poured His blessings on this church once again. Our people received instructions about Faith Promise throughout the month which culminated with a Missions conference. Pastor Fernando, a national pastor who graduated from the same Bible institute as Rom, was the guest speaker. In the last service, the church collected cards from children, young people and adults promising to help missionary projects for the next 12 months. Praise the Lord!

Our people are dealing with inflation once again, and the minimum wage in Brazil is only around $350 per month. Some people make more than that, but others receive only the minimum wage. We teach our people to invest in the work of God and to do for others what others have done for them.

There are at least three families waiting for us in the Southeast of Brazil where we plan to start our fifth church. We plan to hold meetings in a rented building until we can acquire a piece of land to build our own auditorium. The city codes are very strict even for rented buildings which must pass tough inspections.  The law does not allow people to gather for religious meetings in places that do not comply with the laws concerning the location, size, and acoustics of the building.

Pray for us! This is going to be one of our most difficult endeavors since we became missionaries, but we know that nothing is impossible for our God. We also know we have wonderful brethren upholding our ministry in prayer.

In His Perfect Love,

Rom, Rachel, Rochelle & Roxanne Ribeiro
